OUR PROGRAM DIRECTOR

Born in Villa del Rosario, Norte de Santander, Rubén Bustos is a former professional Colombian footballer known for his sharp technique, exceptional vision on the field, and world-class free-kick ability.

He made his professional debut on 1998, with América de Cali, where he quickly rose to prominence, winning three Colombian league titles (2000, 2001, 2002). His impressive career took him through top clubs including Cúcuta Deportivo, Millonarios FC, Atlético Nacional, Real Cartagena, Boyacá Chicó, and elite Brazilian teams Gremio and Internacional, where he won the Campeonato Gaúcho.

Internationally, Bustos represented Colombia in major tournaments including South American U-20 Championship, Toulon Tournament, U-Pre-Olympic and Gold Cup. He also played five editions of Copa Libertadores.

Named Athlete of the Year in 2007 by El Espectador and ACORD Norte de Santander, Rubén now lives in the United States, where he leads youth development as Director of Gremio Academy. With a deep commitment to personalized coaching and technical excellence, he continues to shape the next generation of football talent.

Can parents watch the trial session?

→ Yes! Parents are welcome to stay and observe from the sidelines.

What should my child bring?

→ Cleats, water, shin guards, and comfortable athletic clothes.

What happens after the free trial?
